PKU EASY Microtabs
For dietary management of Phenylketonuria (PKU)
PKU EASY Microtabs are small, slow‑release, phenylalanine‑free amino‑acid tablets for the dietary management of PKU in patients aged 8+. Their coated, slow release matrix supports gradual amino‑acid release.
Dosage¹
Dosage be determined by the clinician or dietician, dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient.
The measuring cup included inside the box should be used to measure the microtabs.
Please fill the cup with microtabs up to the 20 ml mark. This will equate to 14 g of microtabs. 14 grams microtabs = approx. 10 grams of protein.
Administration Guidelines¹
PKU Easy Microtabs are small yellow coated tablets which are to be swallowed whole with liquid or eaten with cold food such as jam or fruit purée.
Do not chew PKU EASY Microtabs.
Storage¹
Store in a cool, dry place.
Pack Size¹
4 x 110 grams.
Shelf Life¹
Shelf life is 18 months. Once opened, the product should be consumed within one month.
Important Notice¹
Must only be given to patients with proven PKU under strict medical supervision. Suitable from 8 years of age. Not for use as a sole source of nutrition. Diet must be supplemented with natural protein, water and other nutrients in prescribed quantities to supply phenylalanine, fluid and general nutritional requirements. For enteral use only.
